Financial readiness is one of the biggest barriers organizations face as North Carolina moves toward CCBHC implementation and prospective payment models. Many provider organizations still lack clear cost visibility, aligned service definitions, or reliable financial data to support PPS rate setting and sustainability.

This in-person Track 2 symposium provides hands-on, applied guidance for preparing organizations for PPS and value-based reimbursement. Participants will work with subject matter experts to examine cost structures, service-level data, and reporting requirements essential for accurate rate development and long-term financial stability.

The focus is practical and operational: understanding what data matters, how to align clinical and financial assumptions, and how to translate operational reality into defensible cost reports and financial forecasts. Participants will also explore how PPS changes financial decision-making beyond rate setting, including staffing models, service mix, and performance accountability.
